Color Dash's UV Splash 5K

Benefit for The LAUNCH PAD Teen Center

         Downtown Prescott was lit up last night with hundreds of people who walked, ran, dashed, and danced on a family fun 5k run to benefit the Launch Pad Teen Center! Color Dash's UV Splash was sponsored by Magic 99.1, Lamb Chevrolet, and the many volunteers who showed up to support this event. Participants are provided with white tee shirts and uv powder in vibrant and electrifying colors under the black light. Mile High Middle School was filled with kids and adults throwing uv powder at each other to prepare for the black light party. Music and games were facilitated by a DJ. These games included a blurpy contest held at Captain Crossfit's booth, a Hula Hoop and costume contest at the DJ's booth, and face painting provided by the Launch Pad. As soon as the sun set the black light party began when the participants took off for a 5k run passing booths with water splashes and uv powder douses. The start and finish line was complete with uv lights to light up the night!
